Arbor Lawn is a perfect spot for whiling away an afternoon, a casual game of croquet, lawn bowling or relaxing in a wide-open space with a lush lawn surrounded by flowering shrubs, trees and flowers.

Hiking
Some believe that the best way to truly appreciate the Trillium lifestyle is to explore the natural beauty on foot. Various trails and paths provide just such an opportunity.

The Lakeside Nature Trail winds its way through lush rhododendron forests and tiny mountain brooks and takes adventurers to the edge waters of Lake Glenville. A shorter but very popular hike is the Mule Kicking Falls Trail.

Fishing
Fishing in the mountains offers the perfect combination of sport and relaxation. Enjoy fly fishing on Norton Creek—stocked and managed by Trillium—or fish on Lake Glenville for small and largemouth bass, walleye, trout and bream!  Trillium kids often enjoy learning the art of fishing on our private, stocked pond.

For those who want to venture out, the Tuckasegee River (rated among the top 100 fly fishing rivers in the country) is less than 10 minutes away.

Boating
Set out with your own boat or rent one from Trillium's fleet. Choose from fishing boats, deck boats, runabouts or pontoons. Members and guests may also take advantage of the 34 boat slips available for rental at the Trillium marina.

Rent canoes, kayaks, water skis and other water sports’ equipment to prepare your family for a fun-filled day on the lake.

Garden Golf
A magical garden golf course lends its own whimsical brand of fun, providing a place where every member of the family can enjoy chipping and putting without worrying about tee times and scorecards.

This par-three course fills the neighborhood with a profusion of perennial flowers and garden sculptures.  Every hole offers its own unique beauty and is carefully landscaped, bringing together the best of nature's beauty.

Located in Trillium's woodsy "Arbors" enclave the meditative setting of Garden Golf also makes it a great place for solitude and reflection while communing with nature.  Small waterfalls provide the alluring trickle of water, while ponds, rock gardens and stone steps enhance the lush landscape.
